The Troll Drop and the Princess in the Tower

The Troll Drop and the Princess in the Tower is one of our most thrilling attractions.
The trolls have taken over parts of the Fairytale Castle. The princess has been captured and locked away in the tallest of the castle’s seven towers. The prince, meanwhile, has been bewitched by the trolls and turned into a deer – now mounted on the wall like a trophy. To rescue both the princess and the prince, we need someone as brave as Askeladden. Someone who can sneak past all the obstacles and reach the secret chamber at the very top of the Fairytale Castle.

If you succeed in the challenge, the spell will be broken, and the prince and princess will be free again.

PS: Be careful not to disturb the trolls. Walk quietly, move cautiously, and do not touch anything in the trolls’ treasure chamber!

The Troll Drop was officially opened in 2009 by the then Minister of Children and Equality, Anniken Huitfeldt. Since then, it has remained one of the most exciting and popular attractions at Hunderfossen Fairytale Park.

While the height requirement is 120 cm, the experience can feel a bit scary for some guests – but remember, it’s perfectly fine to turn back before reaching the highest tower.

Groups of up to 20 people are admitted into the trolls’ part of the castle at a time, with 8 to 15 minutes between each group.
